SPIFFE/SPIRE

What it is

A CNCF-graduated identity control plane: SPIFFE defines the standard for identifying and securing service-to-service communication, and SPIRE is the runtime that issues cryptographic identities to workloads across heterogeneous infrastructure. Contributed by HPE to the Open Secure AI Alliance as the identity layer for autonomous agents calling tools across trust boundaries.
